Herbie Hancock Releases Fantastic New Album! Herbie Hancock's latest album, mixed in part on equipment from Audio High, includes collaborative work with John Mayer, Carlos Santana, Angélique Kidjo, Christina Aguilera, Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Sting, Joss Stone, Jonny Lang, Damien Rice, Lisa Hannigan, Raul Midón, and Trey Anastasio. We recently upgraded Herbie's studio for surround sound mixing with Chord amplification and additional Tetra Speakers, and Herbie is now in the process of producing a surround version of this great recording. |

Benny Golson wins Lifetime Achievement Grammy! We are thrilled to report that Audio High's friend and client Benny Golson recently received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Golson has played in the bands of Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Earl Bostic, and Art Blakey. He has recorded over 30 albums under his own name and innumerable ones with other major artists. A prodigious writer, Golson has written well over 300 compositions. He is the only living jazz artist to have written eight standards for jazz repertoire. He has done arrangements for Count Basie, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Sammy Davis Jr, Mama Cass Elliott, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Shirley Horn, David Jones and the Monkees, Quincy Jones, Peggy Lee, Carmen McRae, Anita O'Day, Itzhak Perlman, Oscar Peterson, Lou Rawls, Mickey Rooney, Diana Ross, The Animals (Eric Burden), Mel Torme, George Shearing, Dusty Springfield, and many others. His prolific writing includes scores for hit TV series and films: M*A*S*H, Mission Impossible, Mod Squad, The Partridge Family, Bill Cosby, and numerous others. He has written jingles for Canada Dry, Chevrolet, Chrystler, Clorox, Dodge, Gillette, Heinz, Jack-in-the-Box, McDonalds, Mattel, Nissan, Ore-Ida, Pepsi, and Texaco, to name but a few. And, he has lectured at many universities and received several honorary doctorates. We are very pleased to see Benny receive this wonderful honor for a lifetime of incredible work. John Hicks CD now available! Audio High recently put on its second in a series of free concerts by bringing the John Hicks Trio to Mountain View. The concert was recorded by Blueport Jazz and is now available on CD and DVD-A. Come on in for a listen! Music critic Yevgeniy Konnikov, who has been to many hundreds of jazz concerts around the world, said, "It doesn't get any better than this." Audio High is Proud to Represent Lee Tanner Downbeat was the first magazine to publish Tanner's work in 1958 and later his pictures appeared on the pages of many other journals including Rolling Stone, Jazz Magazine (Paris), Jazz Times, American Photo and Popular Photography. They also graced the jackets for LP and CD records produced by the Atlantic, Sony/Columbia, Verve, Fantasy, Rhino and Prestige recording companies. Tanner has had numerous one-man shows in galleries and jazz clubs across the country including The Jazz Gallery in New York City, and Vision Gallery, Kimball's East and Yoshi's in the San Francisco Bay Area.
